“Being from Brooklyn myself, I was extremely moved by the story, and really shared that emotion with one of my favorite singers, Tank from the Grammy-nominated group, Tank & The Bangas. We shared ideas back and forth, and eventually wound up with the end title and theme song, “The Dream” which became an important part to the completion of the film. So many have already been uplifted by the song’s message of hope.
I am ecstatic that I was able to lend my talents to this fantastic work of hope, perseverance, hard work and due diligence to one’s dreams in life. These girls stand for something even much bigger than track and field, but also for the struggles of so many Americans, and so many human beings, using their God given talents to make a way out of no way.”

“Working on ‘The Dream’ for Sisters On Track was a really special moment for me. I felt like I woke up with the ladies in the morning, I felt the joy from the moments they shared and the perseverance from the trials. Creating melody and an anthem for them was joy work and an honor that came about after a call from Mark Batson and preview of their story. I hope everybody can be just as inspired by these ladies as I was writing this.”
